Obtaining and Using Performance Information From Your Lab

Objectives:

Provide a demonstration of how UC Santa Barbara uses its energy information system and laboratory components to evaluate system performance and develop and implement strategies that result in greater system efficiency and efficacy.

Findings:

That there is value in real-time energy information systems.

Biography:

Jim Dewey is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) with the Association of Energy Engineers. He is the energy manager for the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he is responsible for procurement, generation and demand management of energy. Before working for the UCSB, Jim was a design and build controls and energy management contractor.
