Located on the fourth level of the Oregon Convention Center, overlooking the concourse lobbies below and the Willamette River and downtown Portland outside, the Skyview Terrace provided a scenic location for conference attendees to unwind during an evening reception. Attendees dined on meals that highlighted the area's local bounty, surrounded by the space's natural wood and light.

The evening also included informal guided tours of the convention center, which holistically incorporates sustainable features and practices such as an innovative stormwater management program, the use of native plants in landscaping, and a reflective ENERGY STAR^® roof. By incorporating sustainable features, the convention center has received a number of awards, including the 2003 Businesses for an Environmentally Sustainable Tomorrow (BEST) Award. The convention center has also received certification as an "Earth Advantage" building by Portland General Electric.
