Fully Mobile VAV Fume Hoods and Other "Plug In" Laboratory Equipment

Alberto Rivolta, Managing Director, Gloria Artec, Italy

Alberto Rivolta is the managing director of Gloria Artec, a leading fume hood and casework manufacturer from Milan, Italy. Gloria Artec has been instrumental in developing the fully-mobile, “plug-in” fume hood with integral variable air volume controls, which have been installed at the UK laboratory of one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. Mr. Rivolta will discuss how the “plug-in” philosophy has been taken further to include and encompass a full range of furniture, casework, and utilities distribution systems in order to maximize the benefits of letting laboratory layout respond to, and be controlled by, scientific functional needs, rather than vice versa.
