NREL Buildings and Campus Carbon Neutral Stratagies and Results
Otto VanGeet, NREL
NREL is one of the leaders in net zero energy/carbon buildings and campuses. NREL created the Climate Nuetral Research Campus site for Labs21/I2SL. This presentation will cover NREL approach to NREL campus energy stratagies and results including the 360K sq. ft. net zero energy office building the RSF, the 2014 Lab of the Year ESIF, on site renewable energy systems, campus metering and perfromance metrics, and future NREL campus energy plans.
Learning Objectives
- Understand approach to creating low or zero energy buildings using energy efficent building design and renewable energy systems.
- Understand campus energy stratagies and how to minimize campus energy use and demand.
- Understand performance of NREL buildings and campus energy and how to apply to your buildings and campus.
