Learning Objectives

• Visualize a sustainable center for research that celebrates scientific innovation with efficient planning and designs that create light filled human centered space.
• Identify sustainable opportunities beginning at 2,000 feet above the campus (site master planning) through detail design of the building and campus infrastructure.
• Utilize building envelope strategies that maximize indirect light deep into the building but minimize direct solar heat gain.
• Recognize and correct the challenges that present itself when creating openness.
