Monitoring Delivers $2 Million in Energy Savings at California Universities
Mark Goldberg, EnerNOC
Improving the energy efficiency of campus laboratories takes time and commitment. In this presentation, representatives from EnerNOC and California State University (CSU)/University of California (UC) will discuss their proven approach to monitoring based commissioning (MBCx) in campus laboratories, including the challenges and successes that have been encountered along the way. EnerNOC acted as the MBCx provider for some key laboratories across CSU and UC campuses, and have identified building a comprehensive team amongst various campus departments, instituting zone level control upgrades, and connecting fan system performance to zone level airflow as the key considerations in optimizing campus laboratories.
