Demystifying the Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie)
Rich Mitrenga, Autodesk, Inc.
Many owners and industry organizations are talking about the Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie) as a great way to move lifecycle data from design and construction into maintenance and operations. However, many misconceptions exist about COBie and how to use it.
During this presentation, the speakers will explain and demystify the COBie standard. The speakers will cover best practices for adding this COBie/lifecyle data into a building information model and show examples of how some commercial asset management systems can be automatically populated with as-built, data-rich building information modeling (BIM) models.
